Hunting deer with Boss Guiding is still one of the best kept secrets around. We hunt both mule deer and whitetails in the early bow season with good success. This year for the first time we will offer two PEAK RUT whitetail rifle hunts. Stay in comfortable accommodations and hunt some of the best areas that Alberta has to offer for big mule deer. Our deer hunts were also successful, harvesting two 170", one 180" class P&Y Mule Deer as well as one 165" B&C Whitetail. In 2012 we are excited to offer several more hunts from early season velvet Mule Deer to late season rutting Whitetails. The outlook is bright for increased opportunity in Waterfowl and Big Game hunting.

Our mule deer hunts take place in South-eastern Alberta in the breaks and flatlands surrounding the Red Deer and South Saskatchewan rivers. Home to some of the biggest mule deer in Alberta, the area provides an opportunity to "spot and stalk" the "big ones". Early season hunts target magnificent velvet bucks, many still in their bachelor herds, as they enjoy the last few long days of summer leading into the harvest season. Mid October hunts key in on hard horned pre rut bucks. Chances are good that you can arrow your buck and then head for Nighthaven lodge to get in on some of the excellent waterfowl hunting we have to offer.
Getting a really good whitetail deer with your bow is always a challenge. Some of the best whitetail country in Alberta surrounds Nighthaven lodge and although challenging we have managed to harvest some spectacular deer in "our own back yard". Hunters interested in combining a whitetail hunt with some fantastic waterfowling are urged to contact Bob or Jason.

For the first time Boss guiding will be offering a full week of Whitetail hunting during PEAK RUT with your RIFLE. We are hopeful that we can provide the opportunity for hunters to harvest a 150+ whitetail.
